METS 2016 - the Marine Equipment Trade Show is held at Amsterdam RAI in The Netherlands from 15 to 17 November.
The METS event, organised in association with the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA), is the world’s largest trade exhibition of equipment, materials and systems for the international marine leisure industry.
The METS TRADE show combines seminars and networking opportunities for visitors to connect across countries, technologies and industry sectors. In addition to the DAME Design Awards, METS showcases thousands of innovations and new products from over 1300 exhibitors from over 40 countries.
Finding new ways to share knowledge and best practice has never been more important in the maritime world. Innovation has been a crucial theme at METS since this B2B marine equipment trade show opened its doors in 1988, and is often stated as the number one reason why people come to Amsterdam RAI.
The Innovation LAB offers a central stage to give face to all new innovation at METS. The Innovation Lab showcases all nominated products of the Design Award and METS visitors are able to browse the individual nominees details. Throughout the show the stage hosts daily seminars, workshops, debates and presentations
Material Xperience is part of the Construction Material Pavilion. Suppliers and experts from the global network Materia display innovative materials that could add considerable value to the maritime sector.
The HISWA Symposium, started in 1969, is one of the world's most important symposiums in the area of yacht building and yacht construction. It is bi-annually organised by HISWA Association, Delft University of Technology and Amsterdam RAI. Well established universities, knowledge centers and companies from all over the world share their experiences about topics such as hull vibrations, design optimization for small boats and the innovative techniques used for America’s Cup performances.
