Design & Construction of Super & Mega Yachts
09.07.2016
Design & Construction of Super & Mega Yachts is being held at The Gelata Museo del Mare, Genoa, Italy on 10 & 11 May 2017.
The increasing size of vessels and complexity, coupled with the new technologies and stringent new environmental regulations, is providing even greater challenges for designers and builders of the latest generation of Super and Mega Yachts.
Many Super and Mega Yachts are now used for charter which has implications for the way in which the vessel is designed, classed and operated.
Owners are also increasingly aware of the impact of their vessels on the environment and many owners now want to go beyond the compulsory requirements and introduce innovative technologies to improve their 'green credentials'.
Today's Super and Mega Yacht owners are also demanding ever greater levels of comfort and luxury, not only in terms of the vessel fittings and styling but also in the vessels behaviour whilst underway and at anchor.
RINA is pleased to return to Genoa for the fifth edition of its Super and Mega Yachts conference. Papers will be presented by designers, researchers, manufacturers, operators and regulators on all aspects of large sail and motor yacht design, construction and operation.
RINA invites papers on all related topics including:
• Design including; hull, layout, interior, finishes, etc.
• Energy efficiency & environmental issues
• Special features & innovative technologies
• Operation
• Regulation & Classification
• Powering & Propulsion
• Sea Keeping
