Offshore Patrol Vessels Middle East - Abu Dhabi

Offshore Patrol Vessels Middle East summit is from 8 to 10 December 2014 in Abu Dhabi.

The summit is attended annually by senior and respected members of the regional and global maritime security sector.

With an increase in acts of piracy, illegal fishing and the continuous necessity to protect offshore oil fields against terrorist attacks, tremendous efforts are being made by the regional authorities to prevent and stop these emerging threats in the region. Coupled with growing instability in regional security, OPV Middle East considers how nations and agencies ensure that they have the right strategies and solutions to maintain a grip on maritime security.

Naval Professionals and Maritime Security Experts

Chiefs of Staff, Naval Commanders, Senior Coast Guard Officials, Naval Officers, security authorities and industry attend OPV Middle East to promote collaboration and cooperation in order to create a safer and more secure maritime environment.

Over 200 maritime security experts from the region and abroad will discuss the latest trends, challenges and emerging threats impacting regional security. They will also be at OPV Middle East to evaluate the latest naval systems and platforms that can assist in countering threats, securing littorals and protecting critical infrastructure.

Established as the preeminent maritime security conference in the Middle East, OPV Middle East continues to facilitate a strong mix of naval professionals and maritime security experts from across the MENA region and further abroad.

Offshore Patrol Vessels Middle East will be chaired by Rear Admiral (R) Ahmed Al Sabab Al Teneiji, former Chief of the UAE Navy and Chairman of OPV Middle East.
