Fast Interception & Riverine Operations 2015
02.02.2015
Fast Interception & Riverine Operations 2015, 9th to 11th February in London will examine how fast interception and riverine craft can deliver capability in a variety of roles.
The international conference brings together navy, coast guard, law enforcement and rescue professionals to deliver high level discussions on operating environments, mission sets and maximising performance.
Fast interception craft are a growing presence in maritime operations globally. Craft are expected to deliver high speeds and offer maximum endurance for crews performing complex missions. Applications range from special operations to counter piracy, counter narcotics and immigration control.
In the brown water environment mission success and crew safety can depend on understanding the unique demands of riverine, estuary and shallow water operations. Riverine craft need to be rugged and self sufficient to support flexible operational requirements, often in uncharted waters.
Fast Interception & Riverine Operations 2015 will bring together the experts under one roof to tackle the major concerns and share operational feedback from end-user organisations. Attendees at FIRO 2015 will learn from the latest case studies and gain insight into active requirements. Military, coastguard and blue light users will share their experiences, their challenges and the solutions they need as their roles evolve.
Over 20 nations were represented at the launch event in 2014
Fast Interception & Riverine 2015 topics include:
- Maximising Performance: Balancing speed with manoeuvrability and endurance
- Operating Environments: From coastal to riverine in shallow and confined waters
- Mission Sets: From multi mission to single mission platforms and unmanned craft
